ySKILLS

ySKILLS is a four-year research project that aims to improve wellbeing and resilience by enhancing digital skills. To get closer to that goal, the project first developed a digital skills testing tool. The objective of the project was the development of a granular measurement tool for digital skills and knowledge that can be used for large-scale population research. The youth Digital Skills Indicator (yDSI) was developed through consultation with experts, cognitive interviews, pilot surveys and performance tests with young people across Europe.

zusammen digital

Zusammen digital is a project of the German Institute for Media Research and Media Education (JFF - Institut für Medienpädagogik) and funded by the Bavarian Ministry for Digital Affairs (Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Digitales). Combining empirical research and educational practice, JFF investigates media usage of adolescents to identify challenges and opportunities and to promote media competence among young generations.

AMEDY

The Active Media Education for Disabled Youth (AMEDY) project was coordinated and carried out by Stiftung Digitale Chancen, a German foundation that aims to foster media literacy and digital skills for all but in particular marginalised groups. The foundation wants to ensure that everyone has access to the digital world and the opportunities offered by digital technologies. Further, they investigate the societal consequences of digital technologies.
